Dr. Pat Banks with her clinic cat, "Perdie"

Perdie
Perdie was a Scout's Honor Rescue cat.  They got her from the pound.  She was pregnant and severely ill with an upper respiratory infection and the pound was going to euthanize her.  Because she was so ill, we had her at the clinic for an extended period of time.  Unfortunately, her kittens did not all survive.  Perdie, however, thrived!  With each passing day we became more attached.  We adopted Perdie making us official FOSTER FAILURES!

Dr. Susan Schweers
Dr. Schweers was born in Corpus Christi, Texas, is married, and has one son.  She graduated with a Biomedical Science degree in 1977 and a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1981 from Texas A & M University.  Being a small animal practitioner in Houston for almost 30 years, her special interests include animal behavior and orthopedic medicine.  She enjoys training agility dogs, and spends her free time competing at the state and national level.  Dr. Schweers lives in Houston with her husband, son, 2 dogs (Ruby and Tack), and cat (Gizmo).

Ben, Bo Bo, Booger, Booger Bear, or Beast.  She enjoys spending time at her family's farm (Ben does too!).  She recently became engaged to Jason, an incredibly handsome, debonair man!
The Clinic Cats
Button
Button came to the clinic as a stray cat having been Hit By A Car.  He was paralyzed in his rear legs and unable to walk.  After being cared for at the clinic (much medication and love), Button regained the use of his legs.  We loved him so much that he quickly became part of the Winrock family.  You can look for Button roaming around the treatment room, kitchen, or storage area.  His favorite spot is a cozy corner of the food room!

Kate McMordie
Dude
Dude was a Scout's Honor Rescue cat.  He came to Winrock while waiting for a Foster family.  Due to a shortage of available foster homes, he was at the clinic for an extended period of time.  It did not take long for us to grow to love him.  Every day we would let him out of his cage for some much needed exercise, love, and attention.  Then, it happened....we became foster failures again.  We officially adopted Dude in March of 2011.
